Our gold-winning Memory Care community at Auburn Hill Senior Living is on the leading edge in its effectiveness, compassionate care, and creativity. This is due, in no small part, to the leadership and innovation of our Memory Care Director, Melisa Whitesides.
We interviewed Melisa in the sunroom of our fourth floor (the Memory Care floor). You can catch that interview by clicking here.
Running a memory care program like the one here at Auburn Hill requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our staff have ensured there are always fun and engaging things to do for the residents.
Our Innovations Memory Care area is always decorated for every holiday and boasts some of the most beautiful lakefront views in the community. We are so thankful for staff like Melisa that are dedicated to making each resident feel at home, safe, and happy every single day.

We know from experience that when it comes to memory care, Attitude is everything! Innovations residents and team members Grow together while Embracing individuality.
Our Innovations Memory Care Program is thoughtfully located on the top floor of our lakefront community. This offers residents spectacular views while maximizing the benefits that natural light is proven to provide individuals with cognitive impairment.
All Innovations Memory Care team members participate in continuing education about memory-related conditions, fostering a consistent, specialized level of quality care focused on embracing the differences between residents. The Innovations Memory Care Program integrates recommendations from each resident’s physician with counsel and direction from our Director of Innovations, wellness team, residents, and their families to provide comprehensive care.
Innovations residents benefit from life-work stations designed to encourage productive engagement, foster a sense of worth and purpose, stimulate memories, and to ultimately bring joy.

Wondering what it’s like to call Auburn Hill home? Check out these recent stories from our residents’ families:
“We moved my mom into Auburn Hill in February. We (my siblings and I) could not be happier. My mother has improved with the social interactions that she had been lacking and the team has been SO attentive and encouraging to her that her physical and mental health has improved since being there. PLEASE consider Auburn Hill for your loved one. I promise that you’ll be glad that you did.” – Jim V.
“Auburn Hill is phenomenal!! My parents moved in right before COVID hit and they have gone FAR FAR above and beyond to treat them like their own. They have truly become part of the family when we couldn’t physically be with them. Would highly recommend this community and team!” – Debbie S.
